Hanafubuki or Yasugi Steel Tools?

Two High Quality Choices!

Hanafubuki items are crafted from industry-standard, high-quality carbon steel. They are durable, easy to care for, and simple to sharpen.

The Yasugi tools feature Yasugi Steel, a unique specialty carbon steel made exclusively in Japan (specifically in the Shimane prefecture).
Yasugi Steel is created through a meticulous process of combining iron and steel, removing sharpness-reducing impurities like phosphorus and sulfur, and then repeatedly forging and hot-rolling the material.
This results in tools that are extra strong, wear-resistant, and known for their long-lasting sharpness.

Which should you use?

Both materials are an excellent choice. Some people prefer general carbon steel because it is more malleable and therefore easier to sharpen and care for.
On the other hand, Yasugi Steel will offer greater durability and a longer-lasting edge sharpness.
